Today we open the trail named 1000 metersleden for the season. 1000 metersleden is the real classic among the trails of Åre Bike Park and was built specifically for gravity biking by local enthusiasts in the mid 90s.
It is still one of the most popularly trails on the mountain. The trail starts at the top station of the cable car and ends up at Hummeln. The trail is classified as advanced (red) in difficulty and the style is classic downhill/single-track stretching over 2 kilometer with an elev ...
Our FOX slope style line is open. The sections we have open now start with the box, continuing with two big dirt jumps. The first jump is slightly corned while the next jump is straight on with two different lines to choose from. The whole slope style line ends up with a big quarter.
The sections still to build is the drops that will start the whole FOX slope style line. Hopefully the drops will be in place by this weekend.

Trail crew has built two new trails at Calpis. They are named Hustle and Silkkitie. Check out pics on the Trail crew's blog (link on the right side of the page).
The above mentioned pro riders will be attending Åre Mayhem festival this August. They will host pro rider clinics where you can get some riding advice for a small fee. This year they will also compete with three of the Sweden's best riders, which undoubtedly will include Martin Söderström who won a Qashqai Challenge event this year. The event is called "Mayhem All Stars Slopestyle" and it will be held friday at 16 o'clock.
